5Solid build quality with huge capacity. Cannot be charged and used at the same time though.

This powerbank has two, sort of unique, characteristics:

1. The LiBa 10400mAh batterypack is more towards the square shape than the typical rectangular shape that so many powerbanks have. It's actually a bit awkward in that shape for me but to each his own.
2. The powerbank has a short MicroUSB cable permanently attached to the powerbank and the cable tucks nicely into a channel when not needed. That's cool and very useful since you won't need to bring a separate cable to charge a device that needs MicroUSB power.

The LiBa has two USB outputs, one providing 1A, the other 2.1A and the MicroUSB cable that I assume provides 1A max. You are able to charge more than one device simultaneously. You can actually charge 3 devices at the same time as long as the total current draw does not exceed 3.1A. I was able to charge my iPhone, Kindle and a camcorder at the same time but as soon as I removed one of those devices and added the iPad, charging stopped and the batterypack shut down.

It also has a MicroUSB charging port and that is used to charge the powerbank.

A power button turns the powerbank on and 4 LED's show you power and state of charge of the battery pack. A green LED tells you that it is on. The other 3 LED's will light depending on how much power is left in the battery. 3 LED"s mean you've got 70-100% power. Only 2 LED's mean 30-70% power left. And if only 1 LED is lit, you've only got from 10-30% power left. If the LED is flahing you've got less than 10% left and it's time to recharge the batterypack.

It comes with a 22" USB cable that has an unusual combo MicroUSB/Apple 30-pin connector on the one end. The Apple connector soft of flips out of the way if you want to use it as a MicroUSB cable, othewise the MicroUSB plugs into the other side of the 30-pin connector turning it into an Apple plug. It's an interesting idea but one that falls flat for me. The dangling 30pin connector gets in the way and is prone to get snapped off. And since no other tips are included, mainly no MiniUSB tip, it seems to me that it would make much more sense to have the cable have a MiniUSB tip rather than a MicroUSB tip since there is also a MicroUSB cable permanently attached to the powerbank.

The performance was typical of most high quality powerbanks. It charged my iPhone 4 with WiFI & Bluetooth off at the rate of 10% every 10 minutes.

It's a good quality powerbank and has a large capacity. It would be a good choice if the size works for you. It measures about 3.5 x 4.25 x 1" and weighs 9 oz.

This battery pack is a fairly strong one and in my test results it performed slightly below average in supplying a charging current to an iPad 2 and a Kindle Fire. It is also designed to allow you to charge two items at the same time. I also tested the battery pack charging an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4 simultaneously. It comes with an Apple 30 pin connector. You may need to use your original charging cables for some devices so take them with you if you need them.

It is a good power resource to keep your USB recharged devices operating on those long work or school days or while you are traveling. This battery pack is a powerful source of power and many people like me are power users of their smart phones and tablets and need a battery like this. If you are constantly using your phone or tablet then you know that they will run out of power sometime during the day or evening. If you are not near an AC wall outlet with your charger or in your car with a charger what can you do? It is especially important to have some way to recharge if you are traveling in a plane, in the middle of a school classroom or on a bus or train. In addition many of the newer tablets are real power hungry devices and it takes a lot to recharge them.

Here is a powerful battery pack with two USB ports and a built in Micro USB charging cable. It can charge your tablet devices or charge your smart phone and if you want it can do both of them simultaneously. I charged two devices at the same time in my testing. One USB output port is rated at 5 VDC and 2.1 Amps and the other is rated at 5 VDC and 1 Amps. The specifications do not include the data for the current rating of the built in Micro USB cable. It uses Lithium-Ion battery technology and carries a 10400 mAh capacity. It can output a total of 3.1 Amps at one time. This is a large sized battery pack and it weighs in weighs in at 8 7/8 ounces. This battery pack will fit easily into a brief case, back pack or a computer bag or a large purse. I have included a video of the battery's features and I hope it is helpful to you.

When I test a battery I do an extensive set of tests that fully charges the battery and then I use it to charge devices and make sure that it is fully depleted when my tests are done. I time each test and document the results as the test progresses. I then calculate the mAh of capacity that the battery supplied and I then calculate its charging efficiency. This process takes from 3 hours to, in very large batteries, about a day for testing. I don't take any short cuts or guess and every battery has these tests performed on it and documented. This is to assure that the battery is tested and it performs well. If a battery has performed poorly I then run the tests again to verify the results.

What's in the box?

* The battery does not come with an AC wall charger. Use the Micro USB charging tip for charging the battery. You can use a computer USB 2.0 port to charge the battery pack but it is 10400 mAh and it will take a long time to charge (20 to 26 hours). The manual states to use a 1 Amp USB wall charger and charging will take 10 to 13 hours. I used a 2.1 Amp wall charger.
* One charging cable for the battery pack or your smart devices. It is 24 inches long. The charging cable is a micro USB plug for the battery but it has a flip up converter that turns it into an Apple 30 pin connector.

* 90 min the iPad at 58% and the battery pack at 1 LEDs
* 120 min the iPad at 72% and the battery pack at 1 LEDs
* 150 min the iPad at 85% and the battery pack at 1 LEDs

As you can see the battery will fully charge a totally dead iPad 2 but not an iPad 3 or 4 because it contains 10400 mAh of capacity. You have to consider the losses in the charging circuits of both the battery pack and the device you are charging. Energy is lost during the voltage conversion, used by the electronics of the battery pack and your device and by the generation of heat.

Liba 10400 mAh battery pack device charging real world experience:

* iPhone 4 or 5 approximately 4.77 full charges out of a fully charged battery pack.
* iPad 2 approximately 97.5% of a full charge
* iPad 3 or 4 approximately 58.5% of a full charge
* iPad Mini approximately 150.8% of a full charge

* A normal estimated usable storage is 70% of capacity or .70 * 10400 mAh = 7280 mAh charging capacity available for your electronic devices.

5Solid Built compact Portable Battery Charger! Powerful!

I was kind of scared to order since there weren't any reviews... but due to Amazon's excellent return policy and the company's guarantee full refund policy, I decided to give it a try... and I am so glad I did!

I just received this item (this morning) and from the start, I could tell this device is very solid, high quality, and well built. Design, it is very compact and high quality look and feel(pic attached). Mostly importantly, this little thing is powerful and the charging time is excellent (very important as I travel a lot and spend a lot of time in the airport). Also, I didn't actually time it, but It charged my Nexus 7 and Galaxy S3 very noticeably Faster than the plug in charger.

As of now, I am very satisfied with this device and purely for my purpose, this product is perfect. I am so glad I gave it a try. Let me try out this item for few more weeks and I will update my review if any different.

I have been using this for over a month now and I am very satisfied with this product. Especially my wife! When I'm not on a business trip, my wife would be looking for this to charge her device instead of the wall plug in charger (as she had experienced this charges noticeably quicker).
